Alternative Academy School of Character


— Muskogee Rougher Alternative Academy was recently named a National School of Character, a media release states.

The Sept. 18 luncheon hosted by the Character Council of Central Oklahoma was to honor area schools who were recipients of awards from the Character Education Partnership.

Muskogee Public Schools Superintendent Mike Garde and State Superintendent Janet Barresi also spoke at the event. Sadler Arts Academy, Early Childhood Center, Alice Robertson Junior High, the district, and Muskogee High School were also honored at the event for receiving Promising Practice awards.
