— Muskogee police are seeking the public’s help to find a missing teen.

Desiree’ Thompson, 15, was last seen by her parents, Derrell Thompson and Carla Milton, at their residence at 3013 Elgin St. on Sunday evening. They reported Desiree’ missing at approximately 9:45 p.m.

“I would give my last breath to try and find her,” Derrell Thompson said.

Milton said Desiree’ “climbed out the window while we were in the den watching TV.”

Milton asked their other daughter to go check on Desiree’.

“I just had this feeling,” Milton said.

Milton and Thompson had made arrangements for Desiree’ to go to a counseling facility, Hope Harbor in Claremore. Desiree’ was supposed to go Monday, the day after she ran away.

“Hope Harbor provides on-site services for at-risk teens through its Children’s Home and Academy,” the facility’s website states.

Derrell Thompson said he and his wife have received calls that indicate their daughter is in Muskogee.

“I talked to an adult female and her husband yesterday,” Thompson said. “They saw her yesterday near Chandler (Road) and York (Street).”

That couple was unaware Desiree’ was missing, he said.

The family is confident there are other people around the city who may be giving her rides.

“She’s got somebody, but we don’t know who,” Thompson said Friday. “I talked to my nephew yesterday morning. He’s seen her twice over on Oklahoma Street and over on Court Street, probably about between 25th and 26th.”

Because Desiree’ is on probation, police are on the lookout for her, he said.

People need to be aware that Desiree’ is talented at manipulating people, her father said.

“Whoever she comes in contact with — she’s a pathological liar,” Thompson said. “She’s telling people that we put her out. She had packed a couple of bags. She had planned this.”

Thompson and Milton are worried about their daughter’s safety and hope someone who knows where Desiree’ is calls the police.

“Call the police first, and then they can call us,” Thompson said.

Thompson’s number is (918) 913-2727, and Milton’s number is (918) 310-4205.
