Firefighters extinguish blaze in empty house

Firefighters work to extinguish an abandoned house fire on Sixth Street on Friday afternoon. John Tipton, the assistant fire chief for the Muskogee Fire Department, said the firefighters got the fire out very quickly. Tipton also said there were no utilities hooked up to the house, and the windows and doors were all open when the firefighters arrived on scene.
