A.M. UPDATE: Free dump day set Saturday

The Muskogee Community Landfill, 2801 S. 54th St. W., will have a free dump day from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday. To qualify for the free dumping, residents must show a valid driver’s license and current city of Muskogee water bill. If you do not present these items, you will be charged the regular rate.

No commercial business will be allowed. The landfill will not accept items containing Freon such as refrigerators, freezers, etc., unless they are certified purged of Freon.

Because a heavy turnout is expected, patrons are asked to enter from the north from Hancock onto 54th Street.

The limb and brush drop-off site at 40th and Denver streets will be open from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday. No stumps will be accepted. Residents there will also need to show a valid driver’s license and current city water bill.
