Robbery convict hit with related felonies

A man found guilty Friday of first-degree robbery was charged Monday with two more felonies.

Mikell Chapman Price, 28, is charged with knowingly concealing stolen property and possession of a firearm after former felony conviction.

Price was convicted Friday of the Dec. 3 robbery of Jim Baskins, 77. Price and three others were charged in that case.

When Price was arrested a few days following the robbery, the guns belonging to Baskins were found in the Fort Gibson home where Price was staying.

Price had been convicted in 2011 of two felonies in Wagoner County — possession of a controlled dangerous substance in the presence of a minor and distribution of controlled substance, according to court records. It is a crime for Price to possess weapons after being convicted of a felony.

Price will be back in Muskogee County District Court Nov. 18 for a sounding docket. At that time, a date will be set for a preliminary hearing.
