At a glance — Muskogee City Council

During regular meetings Tuesday, the Muskogee City Council took the following action:

CONSENT AGENDA

Approved:

• Claims for all city departments from Oct. 21 through Nov. 1.

• Resolution declaring certain items surplus to the needs of the city and authorizing disposition of said property.

• Approval of lowest and best bids from King Carpentry in the amount of $39,265 for three structures and Tom Crabtree in the amount of $40,775 for three structures approved for the Muskogee Rehabilitation and Revitalization Program.

• Approval of low bid to Gulf Coast Sports for new bleachers at Robert Perkins Football Complex in the amount of $27,380.

• Acceptance of the GameTime “Everybody Plays” grant of $132,993 to be applied towards the purchase of a new playground for Honor Heights Park, or take any necessary action.

REGULAR AGENDA

Approved:

• Request to close two 10-foot alleys, Okemah Street and Park Place between Shawnee Bypass and Tahlequah Avenue, all located in College Heights Addition.

• Request to change the name of Ruby Park to Robison Park.

• Recommendation to take no action on a federal lawsuit filed by Christina Boylan against the city and Muskogee Police Officers Troy Buller and Lincoln Anderson.
