Wagoner school board to meet today

— The Wagoner board of education will hold a special meeting at 8 a.m. today to determine whether Wagoner High School Principal Larry Milligan’s employment will be terminated.

The agenda item apparently is in response to a 4-1 vote last week that the board’s attorney should “proceed consistent with the discussion” in “executive session” on an investigative report a law firm prepared about a senior prank night.

The prank night events, which included moving cars into the high school building, have drawn questions from the community.

It was sanctioned by the school, with the participating seniors to have been supervised by Milligan.

Some reports stated Milligan helped the students get the vehicles in the building, then left the students without supervision. Some students allegedly removed ceiling tiles to enter a classroom and vandalize it.

The school has not released the investigative report. Milligan just completed his first year at Wagoner High School.
