Body recovered from Lake Tenkiller

EVENING SHADE — The Oklahoma Department of Public Safety says the body of a man missing since Thursday has been recovered from Lake Tenkiller.

Officials found the body of 25-year-old Timothy Russell Banister at about 3 p.m. Saturday in about 50 feet of water. Banister hadn’t been seen since he jumped Thursday evening from a rock bluff in the Snake Creek area and didn’t resurface.

The body was found by searchers about 40 feet from the bluff.
