Two arrested in meth bust

Two people were arrested Thursday when the Muskogee City/County Special Enforcement Team conducted a drug bust.

Richard Darnell, 30, and Crystal Murray, 32, were arrested at 2216 Baugh St., when the team executed a search warrant at 1:30 p.m.

“They were in the process of drying meth out in the microwave,” said team spokesman Andy Simmons.

Finished methamphetamine product was seized, along with $1,697 in cash, Simmons said.

Darnell and Murray were booked into the Muskogee County/City Detention Facility on complaints of endeavoring to manufacture a controlled dangerous substance (methamphetamine) and possession of a controlled dangerous substance with intent to distribute (meth).

Some finished product was seized, Simmons said.
