Veterans activities abound this weekend

— Two Braggs Veterans Memorial Highway signs are to be dedicated at a Veterans Day ceremony Monday.

The ceremony will be 11 a.m. Monday at Braggs Veterans Park.

Garrison will be keynote speaker at the ceremony. It also will include a reading of Ronald Reagan’s 1985 Veterans Day proclamation. Korean War veterans Ken Hayes and Kelly Rolland will participate.

Three plaques for the highway signs, the Veteran Park, flag poles and 20 veterans memorial bricks also will be dedicated.

The highway signs were erected one mile north and one mile south of the Braggs city limits and donated by the estate of David Isbell and his family. Volume VIII of the Braggs History Book also will be available.
