P.M. UPDATE: Fund established to help family who lost home to fire

An account for a man and his family who lost their home in a fire has been established at Arvest Bank.

Donations may be made at any area Arvest Bank branch, a bank spokeswoman said.

Courtney Tate and his family, which includes his wife and two young daughters, lost their home to a house fire early Easter morning.

Tate said firefighters told him that the blaze was electrical and that it started in the attic.

A spokeswoman with the Muskogee Fire Department said the fire call was received at 3:19 a.m., and the home is a total loss.

There were no injuries.

Arvest Bank branches are at 1000 W. Shawnee Bypass, 735 N. York St., and 230 W. Broadway.
