Gubernatorial hopeful Dorman to visit city Friday

State Rep. Joe Dorman, D-Rush Springs, will swing through Muskogee on Friday in support of his gubernatorial bid.

Dorman plans to speak “about his plan to be a bipartisan leader and a governor for all Oklahomans.” The Democratic candidate also plans to share “his vision” for Oklahoma’s future and “policies that will move the state ahead.”

Campaign officials say Dorman is running on a platform that places “people over politics.” Dorman has pledged to “reverse the failed policies of the current administration” should he be the Democratic nominee and win the Nov. 4 general election.

Dorman plans to declare his candidacy at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday and open his campaign headquarters later that day in Oklahoma City. He will deliver his Muskogee campaign speech at noon Friday in the Martin Luther King Center, 627 N. Third St.
