Valentines for veterans

Boy Scouts Kaleb Barcellos, 12, left, and John Thomas, 13, of Troop 627 in Wagoner bring homemade valentines Tuesday to Rickey Clinton Jr. and his grandfather John Blackwood Jr. on Tuesday at the Jack C. Montgomery VA Medical Center. Both men are veterans. The medical center is putting on numerous events during the 2013 VA National Salute to Veteran Patients this week, including the free Valentines for Veterans concert for veterans and their families today at the Muskogee Civic Center. The concert, featuring Aaron Tippin, includes a pre-performance ceremony at 6:45 p.m. to honor veterans. The concert begins at 7:30 p.m.
