A.M. UPDATE: 'Casablanca' to be shown at Roxy Theater on Aug. 8

— “The Alamo” starring John Wayne, will be shown at 7 p.m.  tonight at the Roxy Theater as part of the summer movie classics. The movie was released in 1960 and nominated for seven Academy Awards, winning one.

The cost is $2, and concessions will be available.

A movie will be shown each Thursday at the Roxy. Admission will be $2 each Thursday.

“Casablanca” starring Humphrey Bogart, Ingrid Bergman and Paul Henreid will be shown Aug. 8. The movie was released in 1942 and nominated for eight Academy Awards, winning three, including Outstanding Motion Picture.
