Rural grass fire destroys bales

A grass fire endangered a home and destroyed several bails of hay in a pasture near 4867 Elm Grove Road between 45th Street East and 55th Street East. The fire started a little before 11 a.m. Tuesday while Sherry Holder and Bud Holder were bailing hay in the pasture. The Keefeton Volunteer Fire Department responded as well as the Warner, Oktaha, and Brushy Mountain volunteer fire departments. Firefighters contained the fire before any structures were damaged.
