A.M. UPDATE: Body found near Fort Gibson Lake

The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation has been called in to assist the Wagoner County Sheriff’s Office after a man was found dead near Fort Gibson Lake, a media release states.

The body was found Tuesday afternoon on the south side of the lake near a small outbuilding and appears to have been in the elements for several days. OSBI agents do not suspect foul play, and an autopsy will determine the man’s identity and cause and manner of death, the release states.

Officials are working on an assumption of the man’s identity and are trying to build a timeline of events leading up to his death.
