P.M. UPDATE: Fort Gibson polling place to change

The polling location for Precinct 41 in Fort Gibson will be relocated to the Fort Gibson Church of Christ, 806 S. Lee St., according to a media release from Kelly Beach, secretary of the Muskogee County Election Board.

Voters in Precinct 41 voted at the Fort Gibson Town Hall. Beach said he has received several complaints from voters about the lack of parking space at Town Hall, particularly during federal, state and county elections. Voters in Precinct 40 already vote at the church. The move will combine Precincts 40 and 41 in to one polling facility. The change will take effect in time for the primary run-off election Aug. 26.
