Wagoner man dead, two hurt in crash

A Wagoner man was killed and two people were injured in a crash in Osage County, according to an Oklahoma Highway Patrol report.

Thomas Blair Jr., 35, was pronounced dead at the scene, about five miles south of Skiatook on 52nd West Avenue at Rock School Road, the report states.

Luis Dominguez-Vargas, 45, of Broken Arrow was taken to St. John Medical Center in Tulsa where he was treated for a head injury and released. A juvenile male passenger in the vehicle Dominguez-Vargas was driving was admitted to St. John in critical condition with head injuries, according to the report. The juvenile’s name was not released. His condition was unavailable.

The trooper’s report states the collision happened at approximately 10:13 a.m. Wednesday. Dominguez-Vargas was driving a 1997 GMC pickup and failed to stop for a stop sign, entering Blair’s lane of travel. The pickup collided broadside with the 2013 Chevrolet E25 van Blair was driving. The pickup ran off the right side of the road. The van also ran off the right side of the road and rolled over onto its top. Blair, who was not wearing a seat belt, was ejected approximately 20 feet. Dominguez-Vargas and his passenger, who were both wearing seat belts, were pinned approximately 10 minutes before being freed. Airbags deployed in both vehicles, the report states.
