BREAKING NEWS: OSBI assists McIntosh County Sheriff's Office in suspicious death

— Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigations agents are assisting the McIntosh County Sheriff’s Office with a suspicious death.

An OSBI media release stated firefighters called to a fire five miles west of Checotah on Oklahoma 266. Inside the residence, firefighters found a body believed to be the homeowner, Deborah Kathryn Kelsoe, 57.

The OSBI release states the death “appears to be a homicide.”

The State Fire Marshal’s Office is also assisting to determine if the fire was intentionally set.
