Early voting Thursday, Friday

Early voting days in Oklahoma have changed from Friday and Monday to Thursday and Friday, according to a media release from the State Election Board.

As a result, in-person early absentee voting will be Thursday and Friday in counties with annual school or special elections this Tuesday. The hours for early voting remain 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. at a voter’s county election board office. Early voting on Mondays is no longer available.

In addition, Saturdays will continue to be early voting days for all state and federal elections. Because Tuesday’s election is not a federal or state election, but rather a local school or special election, no Saturday early voting will occur this month.

The following is a list of school board elections in the area:

• Muskogee County: Office 4; Haskell, Office 4.

• Cherokee County: Briggs, Office 1; Keys, Office 4; Hulbert, Office 2; Hulbert, Office 4.

• Sequoyah County: Gore, Office 2.
