Police ticket driver in two-auto crash

Muskogee police ticketed a driver for running a red light, resulting in a two-vehicle collision, Officer James Folsom said. Kyla Benson, 23, was driving a Nissan Versa southbound on South 32nd Street when she ran the red light at Border Avenue around 4:26 p.m. Tuesday, Folsom said. Benson’s vehicle struck a Plymouth Voyager driven by Christopher Maxwell, 30. No injuries were reported. A 3-year-old child was in the car with Benson. The child was secured in a car seat and both drivers were wearing their seat belts, police said.
