Inmate charged with molesting boy

A Muskogee man is being held without bond after being charged with two counts of lewd molestation.

Jimmy Dean Fleming, 28, is charged with molesting a boy when the child was 8 and when the boy was 10 or 11, court documents state.

The boy told police that Fleming threatened to kill himself if he told anyone. The boy came forward because he felt it was safe to disclose the information now that Fleming is in prison, court documents state.

According to the Oklahoma Department of Corrections website, Fleming is serving a five-year sentence for first-degree burglary and a five-year sentence for sexual battery.

Fleming will be back in court Feb. 27 for a date to be set for a preliminary hearing. At the conclusion of the hearing, a judge will determine whether Fleming should stand trial.
