MHS staff, students meet FFA critters

Muskogee High School staff members, from left, registrar Leslie Adams; financial secretary, Shelley Sinnett; and algebra teacher, Winter Allen share the love as they cuddle puppies at the MHS FFA petting zoo Thursday. MHS FFA members and supporters brought alpacas, horses, a miniature donkey, pigs, goats, calves and puppies to the MHS ag barn Thursday morning. They invited people from the school to pet the animals. MHS ag teacher Cody Pearce said FFA members held the petting zoo for schoolmates as part of National FFA Week. He said the aim of the petting zoo was “to give kids who don’t have the opportunity to experience agriculture a chance to see the animals. Several MHS FFA members will be showing their livestock at next week’s Muskogee County Spring Livestock Show, which runs Wednesday through March 1.
