County’s top senior spellers named

The Eastern Oklahoma Development District/Area Agency on Aging recently announced the winners of its 2013 Senior Spelling Bee for its seven-county service area. Pictured, from left, first place, Karen Dunn, Muskogee; second place, Jan Mayfield, Muskogee; third place, Mary Graves, Muskogee; fourth place, Mary Stewart, Sallisaw; and fifth place, Charles Lile, Hulbert. Karen Dunn and Jan Mayfield competed in the Oklahoma State Senior Spelling Bee last month at the Oklahoma Aging Conference in Norman.
