The Muskogee Morning Optimist Club, a service organization dedicated to aiding and encouraging the development and growth of area youth, has named its annual scholarship award recipients. They are as follows:
Mr. Teenager Muskogee: Dexter McGriff, a graduate of Muskogee High School who will be attending the United States Naval Academy at Annapolis, Md., after having received and appointment from Congressman Markwayne Mullin.
Ms. Teenager Muskogee: Jessi Venable, a graduate of Muskogee High School, who will be attending Northeastern State University in Tahlequah on a softball scholarship.
Alice Gregg Memorial Scholarship: Braden O'Dell, a graduate of Muskogee High School, who will be attending the University of Oklahoma.
The Alice Gregg Memorial Scholarship is worth $500; the Mr. and Ms. Muskogee Scholarships are valued at $300 each.
