Senior program’s volunteers recognized

— Muskogee Volunteers of America Retired Senior Volunteer Program Volunteer Coordinator Andreka Pace and RSVP volunteer Phyllis Pate met with Mayor Bob Coburn recently to honor local RSVP participants for their commitment to making Muskogee a little better by donating time and talents.

Muskogee County has more than 122 RSVP volunteers at 27 sites with more than 14,499 hours in the past year with a community service value of $246,627.

Participating entities include City of Muskogee, Kids’ Space, Muskogee Police Department, Kelly B. Todd, and many of the local Meals of Wheels sites. The RSVP program is for people 55 or older. Information: Volunteer Coordinator Andreka Pace, (918) 683-1578 or voaok.org.
