ICTC health students earn honors

HOSA members from Indian Capital Technology Center’s Muskogee campus placed in several events recently at the HOSA-Future Health Professionals State Leadership Conference.

HOSA is the Career-Tech student-led organization associated with health occupations education.

Students advancing in the top three positions qualify for the HOSA National Leadership Conference, to be held in June in Nashville, Tenn.

The team of Brittni Barela, Emily Burton, Sarah Coppin and Carshena Howard placed first in Public Health.

Aspen Hayes placed first in Clinical Nursing.

Jaylynn Evans placed first in Life Support Skills.

The team of Petra Tapia, Kayla Teague and Rose Kingery placed first in Biomedical Debate. The team of Ally Epperson, Rebecca Willhite and Bethany Essary placed second in Biomedical Debate.

Colby Holman placed third in Prepared Speaking and received the Breaking Traditions Award.

Caragan Walker placed third in Medical Photography.

Moriah Ray won in the Health Care Issues Exam category.
