Drive nets more than 1,200 books

— Volunteer teachers sort donated books by education levels. During a recent Lake Area United Way Day of Action Children’s Book Drive, more than 1,200 books were collected, said Debi Busch, executive director.  Busch said she had hoped to get as many as 400 books. “This exceeded my expectations for our pilot effort,” Busch said. “It just shows how much our community cares.”
