Hilldale school board candidate challenged

— Hilldale School Board candidate Derek A. Nunn is challenging the candidacy of Szabi Szabo, the Muskogee County Election Board confirmed Friday.

Nunn and Szabo are seeking Office 3 on the Hilldale Board of Education along with Chris F. Pantle. The incumbent, Jeff Sanders, is not running.

No other school board challenges or withdrawals were reported by election boards in Muskogee, Wagoner or McIntosh counties.

The positions will be filled in school elections Feb. 12. If no candidate receives more than 50 percent of the total votes in the election, the two candidates with the most votes will meet in an election April 2.
