ARJHS pupil first in essay contest

The Epsilon chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma International Sorority held its annual essay contest recently.

Students submitted essays about the greatest inventions.

Lora Reavis was committee chairperson for the contest and read the essays with the help of Muskogee High School Advanced Placement English students.

First place winner was Alice Robertson Junior High eighth-grader Ross Jardine, who received a certificate and $50 honorarium for his essay about the human mind and its imagination being the lead to all inventions.

Second place winner was Aspen Perry from Warner Pubic School. Aspen identified NASA and its inventions as the  greatest group of inventions and discoveries to date. She received certificate and $30.

Third place winner was Jake Kratz of Warner, who received $20 and a certificate for his essay about automobiles.
