Prayer luncheon Thursday at Civic Center

— Muskogee Mayor Bob Coburn is inviting residents of Muskogee and the surrounding area to attend a luncheon Thursday in observance of the National Day of Prayer.

The theme of the prayer luncheon is “Bridging the Gap.” The message is part of the mayor’s challenge to remove barriers within the community “one relationship at a time.”

Dr. Jack Weaver of Muskogee Bone & Joint Sports Medicine will be the featured speaker. The luncheon will be from noon to 12:45 p.m. Thursday in Rooms C and D at the Muskogee Civic Center.

The first 250 people to arrive will receive free sack lunches.
