Eufaula man to face trial in synthetic pot case

— A Eufaula man was bound over for trial Thursday on drug charges related to a synthetic marijuana arrest.

Jeremy Vance Jones, 26, is set for district court arraignment at 9:30 a.m. June 6.

Jones is charged with:

• Conspiracy.

• Three counts of unlawful delivery of controlled dangerous substance.

• Possession of controlled drug with intent to distribute.

• Acquire proceeds from drug activity.

Jones, free on $25,000 bond, was arrested in October after an investigation that took more than seven months.

Following Jones arrest, Eufaula Police Department Chief Don Murray said a substantial amount of marijuana “for bagging to sell” was found at Jones’ residence. Firearms and about 100 packages of synthetic marijuana were found there as well.
