Farmer market vouchers available to seniors

BOYNTON — Applications for the Seniors’ Farmer Market Voucher Program will be accepted 9:30-11 a.m. Tuesday at Rayfield Baptist Church, 602 Indianapolis St., and 1:30-3 p.m. April 9 at the Muskogee Public Library.

The voucher program is for low-income persons age 60 and older living in Muskogee County. Each voucher will give the participant $30 to spend on produce at the Muskogee Farmers’ Market.

Applications are limited to one per household for seniors in Muskogee County, with only the first 240 persons being accepted.

To be eligible, the applicant must be 60 and older and earn $1,772 or less per month for a single person household or less than $2,392 per month for a two person household.

If the applicant is going to allow someone to pick up their produce, that person must be present at the time of the application as a signature is required.
