A Muskogee man was charged Wednesday as an accessory in an attack that left one woman dead and her husband in the hospital.
Ryan Shawn Johnson, 21, was charged with two counts of accessory to shooting with intent to kill. April and Darrell Perry were shot Friday at a mobile home park at 2405 N. 32nd St. Robert Luis Guerra, 35, was charged Tuesday with murder, shooting with intent to kill, and several other charges.
Johnson is jailed at the Muskogee County/City Detention Center on $250,000 bond for the accessory charges. He’s held without bond as a material witness to Guerra’s charges.
An affidavit filed in the case states Guerra had Johnson drive him and the Perrys to the Perrys’ mobile home. Guerra grew agitated about some property he believed Darrell Perry had taken from him, the affidavit states, and shot Darrell and April twice, and stabbed April with a sword two times.
According to the affidavit, while being interrogated by Muskogee County Sheriff’s Office investigators, Guerra admitted to the shooting, and said, “I did it! I did it! Ryan was only there because of me.”
Johnson and Guerra return to court at 1:30 p.m. Jan. 16 for a preliminary hearing in the case, according to court documents.
Funeral services for April Perry are set for 10 a.m. Friday at United Pentecostal Church, under the direction of Cornerstone Funeral Home and Crematory.
