Submit mentors for recognition


— The Oklahoma Foundation for Excellence and its David and Molly Boren Mentoring Initiative are encouraging youth mentoring organizations to submit their 2013 outstanding mentors for recognition.

Mentors and their mentees will be recognized at a ceremony at 10 a.m. Jan 15  at the capitol. Oklahoma Mentor Day will include lunch and educational activities presented by the Oklahoma City Zoo Education Department.

Submission forms are available online at www.okmentors.org. Forms are due on or before Dec. 16. To participate, mentoring organizations must be registered as members of the Boren Mentoring Initiative’s statewide network. Organizations can join at no cost at www.okmentors.org. Mentoring organizations may include school-based, faith-based, corporate programs, colleges and career-techs, or community nonprofits.
