EASTAR Health System will hold a free men’s health fair from 5 to 9 p.m. Thursday on the east campus (formerly Muskogee Community Hospital), 2900 N. Main St.
Three of the screening tests — cholesterol, blood glucose and blood pressure — can indicate risks or symptoms of cardiovascular disease. For the most accurate reading on the cholesterol and glucose tests, it is recommended that men not eat or drink anything for six to eight hours preceding the tests. Snacks will be available following the testing.
Two tests for cancer symptoms will be available, including fecal occult blood tests, allowing men to test at home for symptoms of diseases like colon cancer. Prostate specific antigen blood tests, a screening for prostate cancer, also will be available.
Registration: (918) 684-2440.
