P.M. UPDATE: Muskogee man arrested in robbery investigation

McALESTER — A Muskogee man was arrested in connection with an armed robbery in Seminole, according to the Oklahoma Department of Agriculture, Food and Forestry.

Calvin Smith,18, was arrested and booked into Pittsburg County Criminal Justice Center after picking up a check from the sale of 15 head of allegedly stolen cattle, said Capt. Jerry Flowers, special agent supervisor for the Department of Agriculture, Food and Forestry.

Smith was arrested at the McAlester Stockyards in the ongoing armed robbery investigation. Flowers said the investigation began May 1 after a group of men held a Seminole rancher at gunpoint.
