Three people were killed and three others injured early Sunday morning in a Wagoner County crash, according to an Oklahoma Highway Patrol report.
Heather Cheatham, 23, of Tulsa, Robbie Robertson, 26, of Coweta and Marshall Carter, 26, of Coweta were pronounced dead at the scene of the crash at Oklahoma 51B and 181st Street, about 2.5 miles south of Coweta, the report states.
Ernestine Robertson, 44 of Porter; Gary Whittaker, 58, of Broken Arrow; and Mariah Hooser, 16, of Broken Arrow, were taken to St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa, but their conditions were unavailable.
According to OHP, the collision happened at approximately 12:15 a.m. Ernestine Robertson was driving a 2007 Pontiac northbound when the vehicle went into a broadslide and was struck by a 2010 Chevrolet driven southbound by Whittaker. Cheatham and Robbie Robertson, who were not wearing seat belts, were ejected from the vehicle. Ernestine Robertson was pinned for approximately 10 minutes. She, along with Whittaker and Hooser, were wearing seat belts. Airbags deployed in both vehicles. The trooper’s report states Robertson was driving under the influence, which was attributed as the cause of the collision.
