Victim of fatal collision a Morris man

— The Oklahoma Highway Patrol identified a man killed Thursday in a wreck south of Haskell.

The OHP report states Jared Balfour, 33, of Morris died in the crash at 4:23 p.m. Thursday on U.S. 64 about 1/2 mile south of Haskell.

The report states a 2009 Honda CR-V driven by Janea McCullough, 26, of Haskell was southbound on U.S. 64 when it crossed the center line and struck a 1988 Chevrolet pickup driven by Balfour, who was northbound.

Neither driver was wearing a seat belt, the report says. An airbag deployed in McCullough’s vehicle. Balfour was pinned in his vehicle for an unspecified time.

McCullough was taken to St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa with leg, arm and internal injuries. A condition report was unavailable Friday for McCullough.

Services are pending for Balfour with Checotah Funeral and Cremation Services.
