Hoops tournament postponed to April

Basketball tournament play for the 2nd annual Drug Free Basketball sponsored by The Move, Inc., has been rescheduled, organizers say.

The community program’s tournament has been rescheduled for April 1 to May 10.

Shartese McHenry, founder and director of The Move, Inc., states in a signup flier that parents may contact her if they can’t find a team for their child.

“We will try to make sure any child who wants to play is added to a team.”

McHenry is a former basketball coach at Boynton and Wagoner schools.

Individuals interested in participating in the tournament — as coaches or players — are asked to call or text McHenry at (918) 636-0271.
