Longer days at MPS on board’s agenda

The Muskogee Board of Education will discuss a recommendation to extend the length of school days to make up for snow days.

The board will discuss the proposal at its regular meeting at 6 p.m. today at the Board of Education Service and Technology Center, 201 W. Broadway.

The proposal was added Monday to the MPS regular meeting agenda.

The district earlier added 25 minutes to each school day to make up for days missed because of bad weather earlier this year. Since then, MPS missed three more days of school because of icy or snowy conditions.
