Sadler Arts Academy recently received the Great Inspirations Award at the State of Creativity Forum at the Cox Center in Oklahoma City. The award recognizes outstanding Oklahomans and programs in education and commerce who promote innovation and creativity in Oklahoma, according to a media release. Principal Ronia Davison accepted the award at the conference.
Sadler Arts Academy was recognized for its creative and innovative practices in arts and education. Yearly, the school performs the Nutcracker, adapting the ballet to reflect the diverse population represented in the school. Performances alternate between Tchaikovsky’s original classical ballet and Duke Ellington’s jazz version, The Harlem Nutcracker, to provide a well-rounded arts education to its students and our community.
