A Muskogee man pleaded guilty Friday in federal court to possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine, according to a media release.
Joshua Ray Higgins, 27, was indicted in December following an investigation by the Muskogee Police Department and the Drug Enforcement Administration.
The indictment alleges that on or about Nov. 15, Higgins possessed with the intent to distribute 50 grams or more of a mixture or substance containing methamphetamine.
Higgins will be sentenced following the completion of a presentence report. He will remain in custody pending sentencing.
The statutory range of punishment is not less than five and not more than 40 years imprisonment and/or up to a $5 million fine.
