A Muskogee High School student is recovering from injuries he sustained in a two-vehicle accident.
Colton Barber, 18, was hospitalized with several injuries including broken ribs, spine injuries and a laceration on his spleen on Sunday, his mother Carla Barber said.
He remained hospitalized at EASTAR Health System Tuesday, but was moved from intensive care, she said.
Colton Barber is a senior and is president of the MHS FFA, his mother said.
About 10:15 a.m. Sunday, Colton was pulling out of the Davis Field Convenience Store parking lot onto U.S. 64, driving a 2002 Chevrolet Blazer, his mother said.
An Oklahoma Highway Patrol report states Barber pulled out into the path of a southbound 2007 Dodge pickup. Dorman and Barber were wearing seat belts, and both vehicles’ airbags deployed.
Dorman was treated for a leg injury and then released from EASTAR Health System, the report states.
