Kent Stacy of Oktaha recently was honored at the Oklahoma State University Center for Veterinary Health Sciences annual awards banquet.

More than $585,000 was given to deserving veterinary students and faculty.

Stacy received a Carl A. Rott Distinguished Graduate Fellowship in recognition of his high academic achievement and leadership. Stacy also received the Dr. Thomas R. Thedford Endowed Scholarship for his interest in food animal medicine. Stacy is the son of Phillip and Regina Stacy of Oktaha.

“OSU veterinary students graduate owing an average of approximately $117,000 in education loans,” said Dr. Chris Ross, associate dean of academic affairs. “We are extremely grateful to our donors who continue to support OSU’s veterinary medicine program allowing us to award these scholarships to help ease that financial burden.”
