— Muskogee police are seeking the public’s help to find a man who knocked a convenience store clerk to the floor and robbed her at gunpoint.

“The clerk was assaulted during the robbery. Luckily, she was just shoved and did not sustain any injuries,” Lt. Bobby Lee said.

The robber, who was carrying a handgun, entered the 7 Express at 3225 S. Cherokee Drive about 9:30 p.m. Thursday. He got away with a small amount of cash, Lee said.

The robber is described as a black male. He wore a black jacket, black jeans, a gray hooded shirt and a blue bandanna over his face. He also wore gloves and shoes with Velcro straps, Lee said.

Police also are interested in finding a man who was in the store approximately two minutes before the robbery.

“Investigators wish to speak with this subject to determine if he has any involvement or possibly witnessed the crime,” Lee said. “We would sure like to talk to him.”

A gray car was seen leaving the area, but police don’t know whether the driver had any involvement in the crime, Lee said.
