A Tahlequah man was sentenced to federal prison for being a felon in possession of a firearm, according to a media release from the U.S. Attorney’s Office.
Nathaniel Lee Brickey, 24, was sentenced to 60 months in prison to be followed by three years of supervised release.
Brickey was indicted in January 2012 along with Kyle Thomas Smith. Smith pleaded guilty in March 2012 and Brickey in August 2012.
The indictment alleged that on or about Nov. 26, 2011, Brickey had in his possession a weapon with reason to know it was stolen. Brickey remains in the custody of the U.S. Marshals Service pending transportation to the designated federal prison where he will serve his nonparolable sentence.
