Cancer survivors walk at Relay for Life

Phyllis Smith, center, takes the circuit with friends during the “Survivors Walk” at the American Cancer Society Relay For Life held Friday at the Muskogee High School gymnasium. The annual event saw 22 teams, hundreds of participants and 115 registered survivors for the walk this year, said Chair Melissa McLain. The next event will be a relay as part of their field day from noon to 2:30 p.m. Friday at Harris-Jobe Elementary. Fundraising totals will be announced later in the month.
