Muskogee police arrested one woman early Monday during a methamphetamine raid at a westside home.
Misty Marie Hayes, 42, was arrested and booked into the Muskogee County/City Detention Center on complaints of endeavoring to manufacture controlled dangerous substance and possession of controlled dangerous substance with intent to distribute, according to a jail spokeswoman.
Officer Matthew Burleson of the Muskogee police Special Investigations Unit said Hayes was arrested during the raid in the 4700 block of Oklahoma Street. He said the raid was conducted by the City/County Special Investigations Unit.
Burleson said authorities recovered three shake-and-bake methamphetamine labs as well as “finished product.”
The three containers were field tested, and all three tested positive for methamphetamine, he said.
“The labs were dismantled and placed in the (Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics and Dangerous Drugs Control) safety container near the police station,” Burleson said.
Further investigation was being conducted, he said.
Firefighters were called to the address to assist police by checking the air quality inside the home. Several areas of the home appeared to have had meth cooked in them, Burleson said, leaving anyone entering the home at risk.
“We make an initial entry to clear the home,” he said. “They then enter the house to test the air quality to make sure it’s OK to be in there.”
