City man charged with bank robbery

A Muskogee man was charged on Friday with robbing Firstar Bank.

Kelly G. Rowe, 52, is charged with second-degree robbery. His bond was set at $15,000, and he was ordered to be in Muskogee County District Court on Dec. 2 for a sounding docket. At that time, a date will be set for a preliminary hearing.

Police said Rowe walked into the downtown bank just before 1 p.m. Nov. 8 and demanded money from a teller.

Rowe left the bank with $2,400, court documents state.

Rowe was arrested about a block north of the bank, and all the money was recovered, police said.
